- Biographical Description
- Somerset County records contain three records related to enslaver Ann Frelinghuysen dated between 1812 and 1822. This appears to refer to Ann Frelinghuysen née Yard, the second wife of Frederick Frelinghuysen (1753-1804), who would have been a widow by the time these records were submitted and thus would sign them in her own name. Her husband was a U.S. Senator and an early affiliate of Queen's College (now Rutgers University).
