- Biographical Description
- Joseph Hutchinson of East Windsor, NJ, was an enslaver who manumitted two men, Samson Peters and Thomas Wildes, on April 8, 1802. Then on April 17, 1807, Joseph Hutchinson manumitted a woman 26-year old named Susan Wiles. It seems likely that Thomas Wildes and Susan Wiles were related; Wildes and Wiles may have been alternate spellings of the same family name as recorded by Middlesex County officials.
