- Biographical Description
-
Saul was an enslaved man who lived in New Jersey in the early 19th century and was manumitted by Joseph Barron of Woodbridge, NJ, on April 11, 1803. Saul was aged 21 to 40 at the time of manumission.
Notably, there was a Black boy named Saul who was born in the Barron household in 1806. It is possible that the older Saul was the boy's father, but this connection has not been definitively confirmed. - Keywords
