- Biographical Description
- George Wallace was the husband of Julia Ann (a Black woman enslaved by Ellen Clark of Middlesex County). In 1824, Julia Ann Wallace gave birth a daughter named Catherine Wallace, and George Wallace was listed on the birth certificate as the father. The document did not mention George Wallace's place of residence or his freedom status. He may have been a free man or an enslaved man. It is uncertain whether he resided with his wife and daughter in the Clark household or lived in a different household apart from his family.
