- Suck was a Black woman who resided in Woodbridge, NJ, in the early 19th century. She was enslaved by James Edgar, whose will, written in 1814, stipulated that Suck should be freed when she reached age 30. Whether Suck ever attained freedom is uncertain; her name is not found among Middlesex County manumission records.
