- Biographical Description
- A runaway ad printed in the Trenton Federalist newspaper in 1805 listed an enslaver by the name of "Peter Stuls" in Cranberry, Middlesex County (now Cranbury). The family name Stuls has not been found in any 19th-century cemetery in New Jersey (or anywhere else in the United States), and it is possible that the name was spelled wrong in the newspaper.
